Životní cesta

About me: I am Aleksandre (also called Sasha) Kepuladze, a university student who loves discovering and learning new things. I was not always like this though, I used to be disinterested in a lot of subjects. However, due to my excellent teachers and mentors in or out of school, I learnt just how fascinating the world around us is. This opened my mind to an endless search for curiosity that persists to this day.

My way: My way of teaching is the way I was taught: just like teachers before me, I use student’s personal interests to entice them into learning. I like to put the students into the topic and build the lessons around them. I also like to use simple and familiar examples to explain complex topics. From experience, this works all the time.  I foster a friendly and judgement-free environment where me and my students can both explore new and interesting solutions.

What motivates me: I think teaching, passing on the torch of knowledge, is a very noble job. I’d like to inspire students the same way I was inspired by my mentors. I think it’s a thanks to them and I enjoy the feeling of my student understanding something with my explanation.

Hobbies and interests: due to my insatiable hunger for knowledge, I got into many things. I can talk to you about anything: visual arts, music, movies, books, history, geography, science (especially physics), animal facts, technology, computers, coding, video games, board games and last but definitely not the least – comics. I love comics and draw some myself. These activities keep my mind sharp, but I also need to keep my body in shape, so I partake or used to partake in sports like swimming, fencing, rock climbing, skiing (yearly tradition), martial arts and finally – camping and hiking. I love exploring in the nature.

My journey: I come from Georgia, where I spent most of my life. I graduated from my school there, but also managed to finish specialized IT school and an engineering school. I have a lot of experience working with international folk and to be very honest, love finding cultural differences. I can speak English on C2 level, but due to my experience with so many foreigners and Czech people I can work around the language barrier and try to explain ideas in the most simple sentences possible. Now I study business administration in Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze.
