I am Tekla and I am a university student. I am always open to learning new things. I could usually find something interesting even in the subjects I considered the most boring at school. Looking at the brighter side of things is always more useful, and even though discipline matters a great deal, we remember better and longer when we have fun alongside the studying.

My teaching approach is a blend of how my teachers taught me and the collaborative methods my friends and I used to study with. In technical subjects, solving as many exercises as possible is essential. It is equally important to understand the reasoning behind why things are the way they are. Connecting every concept to everyday life and exploring how it is used deepens understanding and sparks curiosity, which is the main goal.

The simple answer would be innovation. I enjoy that there are so many ways to perceive and approach a problem, and that many minds come together over it. That is why it matters to spark interest by making even the most theoretical part less abstract and more approachable for young students, who might bring something new to the table in any field.

I am from Georgia. I studied at a physics and mathematics school, and for the last two years of school I completed the IB Diploma Programme. I am now studying mechanical engineering in Kyoto, Japan. I have a lot of experience with international students from diverse backgrounds, both at school and at university. I find it fascinating that while maths is very objective, the way it is taught varies across countries, especially in Asia.

My hobbies include playing the piano, jogging and reading. My interests are fairly diverse: I genuinely enjoy learning new things, whether it is history, music, games, sports or a new TV show. I find it helps to immerse myself in various topics so that I can easily talk to people from different backgrounds.
