Nurlana

Hi, my name is Nurlana and I am a neuropsychology student in Italy. When I was sixteen I got very lucky and started the IB in Georgia. It meant moving away from my family and from my country, but it was the best decision of my life so far.

My life motto would be this: if it feels risky, it means it is going to make a change, and change is the foundation of living. I bring that to my lessons as well, because the step that feels uncomfortable is usually the one that moves a student forward.

My community is my biggest motivator. I strongly believe that the love and care we give is what we receive, and that is the biggest reason to keep putting effort into bettering yourself.

I am originally from Azerbaijan. I went to a regular school, but my family created every opportunity for me to do something beyond it. Then came Georgia and the IB, which was a school of life. Now I study in Italy, already on my master's, and I have exchange projects in many countries behind me.

I explore museums, play chess, plan events and meet new people from all over the world. I also collect pins from the countries I have travelled to.
