Michal

My name is Michal and I am at grammar school. Doučení jinak helped me with my own education, which is why I welcomed the chance to become an academic partner here.

I think a student has to understand why they are learning something first. I want to create an environment where the student takes an active part and has the motivation to carry on outside our lessons. The aim is for them to enjoy studying, and the way there is an individual approach built on their strengths.

I am motivated by a positive attitude. I have experience with teachers from both the Czech and the international setting. The best teacher I ever had taught art and was so enthusiastic about his work that the whole class caught it. When someone does what they love, their work is far more interesting and far more effective.

I studied in Prague and abroad, so I had to prepare for the Czech entrance exams remotely. For a year I studied at two schools at once, abroad in English while completing the Czech grammar school curriculum alongside it. It taught me to organise my time and to help others with their education.

I like trying new things. I used to play classical guitar and have moved on to electric. I enjoy a game of chess, and I am really into football and swimming.
